BULL’S HIT

BAGUIO CITY -- It was night of Jan. 30 when I happened to pass along 1st kayang St. here when I saw a garbage truck collecting garbage. When the truck passed,. I inhaled the killer smoke coming from its tambutso, I got sick and had difficulty breathing that day after.
I have to ask myself again how many people will have to get sick or die for inhaling killer usok of vehicles before officials of the Dep’t of Transportation and Communication in the region will be serious enough in their campaign against vehicles emitting killer smoke. And when would the DOTC go after these smoke-belching testing centers whom they accredited but seemingly are useless because we still see a lot of vehicles roaming on the streets which are not supposed to be.
Perhaps, I am just too sick asking, but I wonder no more when my mind will be back to normal. The answer is plain and clear as crystal on everything that goes on under the sun because of cashunduan. Try go at their office and be counted as one among those people having a sense of social responsibility and I bet an offer of cashsunduan will be there waiting for the offing. I recall one of those stupid alalay of the regional director saying to me “huwag ka nang makialam.” Nonsense!

Finally. the peryahan cum pasugalan of a certain king Arthur at Barangay Sto. Niño located at the slaughterhouse packed their things after the public order and safety office- POSD dismantled the structures used for its illegal gambling activities last Feb. 1 after an angry Mayor Reynaldo Baustista, Jr ordered its demolition.
The mayor and his POSD men deserve my salute for a job well done. Perhaps they should also visit this peryahan-to-be with a built-in facility for pasugalan at T. Alonzo St. I wonder if the operator is now trying to get the nod of some city and barangay officials or is the transaction already a done deal? Do I get the correct guess madam councilor? Just asking, he he he!

Guess who this official of the city building sand architecture office who is the subject of numerous complaints because of her arrogance and pay me for a quick demolition fee scheme. This lady, trying to be a tough guy, led a demolition sometime the first week of January this year and I witnessed how arrogant she was and heartless to the poor woman crying for some compassion for her to stop the demolition.
It was a mistake on her part to hush-rush and decided the demolition on her own. Now the poor woman is out to get the justice due to her and let’s just see how this arrogant official of CIBAO could get herself out from the hook.
If it is true that she is now applying for a promotion, shame on her. She deserves to be kicked out from government service and thrown inside the garbage bin! If she wants to be a tough guy, I challenge her to face me and if she would, I bet she will kiss the ground in a second even with my feet and hands tied, effortless! That pain is more enduring than when she was shot and seriously wounded years ago.

I did not know that there are a lot of “chefs” at Baguio City Hall. It is only this time that I knew they were able to cook good menus for its citizens like Relyenong Basura, Adobong Forbes Park, Paksiw na Athletic Bowl and still on the frying pan the Piniritong Vallejo -- all seeming to be done deals but tastes no good. Perhaps, they did not place the cooking pan cover properly kaya sumingaw. The result? Either under or over cooked!
Nevertheless, these chefs have only months to go and their contracts will expire, but if we choose to renew their contract again, I guess there would be a good menu waiting for us like the Chicharong Bulaklak of Baguio. In that case, we might as well be the laughing stock of the north -- iginisa sa sariling mantika!
