KIANGAN, Ifugao-As the local campaign period kicked off on March 26, almost all the local candidates here were present during presentation of candidates initiated by the Social Action and Development Center of the Kiangan Catholic Mission.
With only two candidates for the council absent, the presentation went smoothly with each candidate spelling out their platforms of government in front of a crowd from the different sector here.
Mayoralty candidates Angelito Dulinayan and Joselito Guyguyon took center stage as they did their best in presenting their plans for the municipality if they win.
In 10 minutes they tried to convince the audience of their plans and programs for the next three years.
On the other hand, Vice mayoralty candidates Raldis Bulayungan and Roel Dulnuan also took turn in voicing out their platform of government while the 26 hopefuls for an eight slots for the councillorship also managed to deliver their speeches in just five minutes.
Meanwhile, Constancio Dulnuan, the Election Supervisor here and the Philippine Information Agency conducted a public demonstration on how the PICOS machine works.
He also distributed sample ballots where the audience participated in a mock election.
The audience took turn in trying to shade the oval with the use of the marker provided by the Comelec.
After the shading, senior citizens said that they were worried because their hands were shaking and that some of them might go over the oval provided for in the ballot on election day.
