CALASIAO, Pangasinan – A 69-year old woman was stabbed and hacked to death by a 36-year old man, whose relative was one of her alleged victims of witchery at Barangay Lumban here Thursday afternoon.
This, as relatives of the victim denied the accusation against their slain family member.
Supt. Rodelio Samson, chief of the Calasiao municipal police station, identified the victim as Felicidad Albania.
The suspect, identified as Merlo de Leon, also a resident of Lumban, remains at large.
Witnesses informed police investigators the suspect was spotted around Albania's residence the past days.
Albania reported the matter to barangay officials who ignored it.
The suspect is now being hunted by police operatives as murder charges have been filed against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office. – Dexter A. See
