In Tayum, Abra, police are now conducting manhunt operations against a driver who is now hiding after being involved in a vehicular accident that caused the death of an Indian national on June 25 around 8:30 a.m. here along the Abra-Kalinga road at Barangay Gaddani.
The Indian national was identified as Charan Singh, 32, resident of Barangay Calaba, Bangued, while the suspect was identified as Amor Tadeo of Palaquyio, Bucay.
Investigation disclosed it was raining when the victim was driving his red Kawasaki motorcycle and traversing north while the blue transit mixer truck, allegedly driven by the suspect was on the opposite direction when the two vehicles collided.
As a result, the Indian national sustained multiple injuries that caused his instant death while the driver of the truck immediately drove towards Bangued.
The body of the victim was brought to Tamo Funeral home, Tayum, Abra for autopsy.
In Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet, a Saulog bus bumped a truck on June 25 around 4:30 p.m.
The bus was driven by Marcelino de Guzman Castillo, married, 51, of Sto. NiƱo Compound, Niog 3, Bacoor, Cavite while the Isuzu truck was owned by Dionisio Galalak Subaday but driven by George Kitkitoy Martinez, 28, of Poblacion, Sablan, Benguet at Salpang, Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet.
Tuba police said the truck was going down when it reached a curved portion passing by a parked vehicle at the Baguio bound lane, where the bus was ascending towards Baguio.
The truck reportedly suddenly maneuvered to the right portion of his lane to avoid possible collision but still bumped the left body portion of the Isuzu.
As a result, both vehicles incurred heavy damages but no occupant of both vehicles was unhurt.
In Sagada, Mountain Province, Romana Inso Guindalos, 56 resident of Barangay Ankileng, was bumped by a Honda motorcycle driven by Daryle Jones Ayban Agpad, 26, of Barangay Ambasing along the national road fronting the municipal building June 24 around 3:30 p.m.
Initial investigation disclosed the motorcycle was cruising along the national road proceeding towards Ambasing when he bumped the victim who was crossing the road towards a parking area.
As a result, the victim stumbled down the road pavement and was immediately brought to St. Theodore’s Hospital for medical treatment.
The motorcycle was impounded at the town police station.
