PAENRO adopts 2 Ifugao b’gays

LAGAWE, Ifugao -- The Provincial Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Office adopted two poor barangays of the province as focal communities for its services under the Integrated Area Development Assistance Program.

Barangays Majlong and Gumhang in the municipalities of Aguinaldo and Tinoc respectively, are considered to be among the less privileged communities of the province based on the latest Basic Needs Survey conducted by the provincial government.

PAENRO set P120,000.00 worth of project on food security, environment protection and enterprise development to be implemented for 2011 in the two barangays for their poor family beneficiaries identified by the Office.

The funding comes from the special fund of IADAP which is a convergence of service providers in the province composed of the different offices to combat poverty and allotted from the 20% Development Fund of Ifugao using as a strategy the programs and services rendered by each member office.

IADAP is spearheaded by the Ifugao Provincial Planning and Development Office which also monitors and assesses the delivery of services of different offices.

The PPDO will conduct a periodically monitoring of all beneficiaries to determine other strategies needed to help them succeed in their projects and livelihood until their quality of living improves. .
