Third suspect in radio-man’s murder nabbed

BANGUED, Abra– The third suspect in the brutal killing of Cirilo A. Gallardo, a professor of Divine Word College of Abra and a part time DJ of DWWM, FM radio on Jan. 31 was arrested on Sept. 20 at by the joint elements of Joint Peace Security Coordinating Council of the Provincial Investigation Unit and local police.

Suspect was identified as John Robinson P. Tuzon, 18, student of San Isidro, Lagangilang, Abra.

He was arrested at Shell Gasoline Station, Zone 7 here for robbery with homicide following a warrant for his arrest with no bail recommended.

He was brought to Abra Provincial Hospital for medico-legal examination and later jailed at the Bangued police station.

Two suspects in the killing identified as Ronnie B. Burgos and Limpot B. Calubing were arrested by the same operatives Sept. 19.

Both suspects had standing warrants of arrest for robbery with homicide issued by Corpuz B. Alzate, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court , Branch 2, Bangued and were already committed at the Abra Provincial Jail here Abra per order of commitment issued by judge Redentor Valera of RTC Branch 2, Bangued.

Police said the arrest of the three wanted suspects led to the solution of the case and is now considered solved while the court can now proceed to try the suspects.
