CSC sets civil service exam in Cordi May 27



BAGUIO CITY – The Civil Service Commission has set May 27 as exam day for those wanting to enter government service.

The professional and subprofessional career service examinations-paper and pencil test scheduled on said date is open to students, fresh graduates or young professionals who are seeking to gain eligibility needed to enter government service.

Fernando M. Porio, Cordillera CSC regional director said a large percentage of the applicants employed as government workers who hope to improve their chances of promotion or employment status by earning a higher level of eligibility may also take the test.

Similarly, with an expected 5,243 examinees (4,190 for professional and 1,053 for subprofessional), the CSC-Cordillera will administer the examinations in four testing centers in the region: Bangued, Abra, Sta. Marcela, Apayao, Bontoc, Mt. Province, and Baguio City.

The CSC has arranged for 214 rooms in different schools in the four testing centers to accommodate all the expected examinees.

In Bangued, the Abra High School was set as venue while Abra State Institute of Science and Technology was slated for subprofessional examinations.

For Sta. Marcela, the examinations will be held in Sipa Elementary High School while subprofessional examinations will be in Sipa Imelda National High School.

Both the professional and subprofessional examinations for Bontoc will be held in Mountain Province State Polytechnic College.

In Baguio City, the testing center expecting the most examinees include Baguio City National High School and Pines City National High School for professional and subprofessional examinations respectively.

The CSC has started briefing room proctors and examiners. All personnel involved in the examinations were required to undertake the “Professionalizing the Corps of Test Administrators” (PROCTAD) seminar, ensuring that the examinations will be administered honestly and professionally.

The CSC has already mailed the notice of school assignment to most of the examinees to inform them of the school and their specific room assignment.

Some applicants in Baguio City have reportedly received of their NOSA while some examinees in Bangued, Sta. Marcela and Bontoc have yet to pick-up their NOSA before examination day.

Examinees may also print-out their NOSA by visiting the CSC website, www.csc.gov.ph, and using the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA).

Examinees were advised to bring the following on examination day: application receipt or notice of school assignment of the examinee;  same valid ID presented at the time of filing of application; one blue or black pen; and four lead pencil/s No. 1 or 2 and erasers.

Individuals who submitted only two passport size pictures with name tag and signature upon application are instructed to also bring with them on the examination day two other passport size pictures identical to the pictures they used at the time of filing of application.

Examinees are also requested to use proper attire on examination day -- no wearing of sleeveless shirt or blouse, short pants, and slippers.

Examinees may also visit  any CSC offices.
