Ifugao electric coop energizes towns’ 17 sitios

LAGAWE, Ifugao -- The Ifugao Electric Coop. recently energized 17  sitios in four towns in the province serving  more than a hundred households.

                General manager Jaime Pe Benito said that their office was able to complete the electrification of said sitios in the municipalities of Asipulo, Hungduan, Lamut and Tinocwith  initial 183 household connections.

                He said funding of the project was through the effort of Ifugao Rep. TeodoroBaguilat, Jr and subsidy of the National Electrification Administration.

                Benito said Ifeilco has provided kilowatt hour meters and 30 meters service drop to first 30 indigent member consumers who had applied for house connections in the said 17 sitios.

                “With the extension of electric service to far flung places, it is expected to uplift the living conditions of rural people since energization is a factor of their economic condition.”

                Meanwhile, Benito said energizing far flung areas  in the province   is their top priority  in  support to the national government electrification program.

                “Our office plunged into the project after President Benigno Aquino III had given full support by approving funds for rural electrification in the country.”
