He said funding of the project was through the effort of Ifugao Rep. TeodoroBaguilat, Jr and subsidy of the National Electrification Administration.
Benito said Ifeilco has provided kilowatt hour meters and 30 meters service drop to first 30 indigent member consumers who had applied for house connections in the said 17 sitios.
“With the extension of electric service to far flung places, it is expected to uplift the living conditions of rural people since energization is a factor of their economic condition.”
Meanwhile, Benito said energizing far flung areas in the province is their top priority in support to the national government electrification program.
“Our office plunged into the project after President Benigno Aquino III had given full support by approving funds for rural electrification in the country.”
