Men nabbed for shabu; 3 in Abra, 1 in Benguet



CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Three men were arrested in Bangued, Abra for illegal drugs while another was also nabbed in La Trinidad for the same offense last week. 

Abra police arrested the three suspects in a buy-bust operation June 1, at Kiara Kim Computer Shop, Barangay Calaba, Bangued.

Regional police director Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong identified the suspects as Richard V. Pizarro 31, married of Barangay Palao; Dominador  B. Venus, 47 and Ian Walter V. Calixterio, 24, both of Barangay Calaba also in the capital town. 

Confiscated from their possession were 20 pieces of small heat sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu valued at  P6,600.

 Also confiscated from them were drug paraphernalia and a .45 Norinco Pistol with 12 bullets.
           
Magalong earlier orders Abra OIC police director Alex Rafael, to conduct aggressive anti-drug operations during his visit in Abra last Wednesday after he received reports of rampant drug pushing in the business district of Bangued and even in schools.          
           
In La Trinidad, SPO4 Nicholas P Luna led a police team in a buy-bust operation along km 4 at about 1:30 a.m. of June 1which resulted to the arrest of Ernesto Del Rosario, 30, resident of km 4 SitioMamaga, Balili La Trinidad.
           
 Confiscated from his possession was a heat seat transparent plastic sachet suspected to be shabu valued at  P2,400.
           
The evidence was turned over to the police crime lab, for analysis while the suspect was placed under police custody prior to filing of court charges against him.
