SAN FERNANDO, La Union – The provincial prosecutor’s office has found probable cause to indict a police official accused of raping a female detainee in Pugo town several times last May and June.
Provincial prosecutor Danilo Bumacod filed
Thursday the case against Senior Insp. Jessie Quesada before the regional trial
court in Agoo town.
Quesada was a former police chief of Pugo
town but was removed from his post after he was charged with rape by a 23-year-old
inmate who he allegedly caught with illegal drugs.
Bumacod, however, dismissed the charges of
grave misconduct and serious neglect of duty against Quesada’s personnel,
namely PO1 Juvelyn Camat, PO1 Marlyn Lozano, PO2 BismarkEstabillo, PO1 Eduardo
Sario, PO1 Serafin Fernandez, PO2 Jessie Piran, PO2 Roy Aspuria, SPO4 Bong
Lagao, and a certain Hermosa.
