President of P'sinan NGO shot but unhurt

POZORRUBIO, Pangasinan – The president of a non-government organization (NGO) cheated death when she was shot by a still unidentified attacker here Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Chief Insp. Satur Ediong, municipal police chief, said Jane Sobredo, 47, president of the Saranay Association, was watering her plants in front of her house in Barangay Batakil when she was shot with a .45-caliber pistol.

The gunman, however, missed and then fled on an unlicensed motorcycle.
