Life’s’ inspirations: “… God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy…” (Romans 1:28-31, the Holy Bible).

Facebook vilifies, glorifies Marcos: Did you notice how Facebook is being used right now to both glorify and vilify former President Marcos? Posts after posts in Facebook are showing Marcos delivering a speech infront of then US President Reagan without reading from a prepared text, or talking about the downfall of the Philippines in 20 years from the EDSA Revolution in 1986.

           

Almost simultaneously, however, many other posts are being uploaded about how Marcos plundered the country during his near 20-year reign, how the supposed corruption and countless abuses in his government brought the country to perdition, and how martial law was used to further his own interests. Is this a preview of 2016?

Gays increasing in number: And, so Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco admitted she is gay---meaning, she is a lesbian (a woman who has the heart and feelings of a man, but who craves for a woman as a partner, not a man). The admission came in the heels of a controversy involving a popular gay comedian who joked about how a news anchor from a rival channel would react if raped.

           

Then, again, we are witnesses to male and female gays in our communities, in our neighborhoods and even in our own families. The popular reaction is, how come gays are getting more numerous even if they are not giving birth to children of their kind? Indeed, this popular reaction is a very valid question. What is happening to our country---and to the world---so that gays are relentlessly increasing in number?

           

Pardon my resolve but, I wish offer two explanations. The first is scientific: men and women are becoming gay because of what they and their parents have been eating. Yes, you read it right---eating has something to do with men and women becoming gay. Why? Well, because many of the things we eat now are genetically modified, the genetic modification is absorbed in our bodies and in our minds, so that a modification of our gender or sex also comes about.

 Here’s why men and women become gay: My second explanation is Biblical. Men and women becoming gay is a curse from God, given to people who no longer acknowledge nor thank Him. Let us read a long passage from the Bible which talks about this, found in Romans 1:18-32. It reads: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness...

           

 “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him… and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles... Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

           

“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

           

“In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error…”
