Int’l mixed martial arts tilt set June 29 in La Trinidad

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Clash of Warriors, a 4 in 1 event, which will feature international and world rated fighters in different fields of combative sports will clash  June 29 at the municipal gymnasium here.

The event is part of a continuing program of the city government of Baguio to inspire today’s youth to be actively involved in combative sports in order to discover more talents from the grassroots level and provide them with adequate exposure in their desired sports event.
               
Five pairs of amateur boxing, two pairs of pro-am boxing, 3 pairs of Muay Thai, 3 pairs of amateur kickboxing, 3 pairs of amateur kickboxing, 2 pairs of pro-am kickboxing, a pair of lady kickboxing and a pair of professional kickboxing will complete the 21-bout event.
               
Moreover, an all-Korean light welterweight bout in pro-am boxing in order to enhance the relationship of the Philippines and South Korea in terms of sports in the Baguio and Benguet areas.
               
Tickets are prized at P150 for general admission and P500 for ringside and sponsorship of the event which will be readily available at the gate several hours before the competition.
               
Organizers of the event are also producing a souvenir program for the event in order to serve as its documentation for future references.
               
Beneficiaries of the staging of the event will be the Baguio-Benguet combative sports through the Universal Contender Gym.
