BANGUED, Abra -- The Philippine
Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) awarded Lilibeth Biogrnia-Martin,
the provincial medical technologist of Abra, as Most Outstanding Medtech in the
country for the year 2013 during their annual convention held at the Philippine
International Convention Center last month.
Martin, a multi-awarded
government employee of the Provincial Health Office of Abra, was chosen
among a number of nominees from all over the country because of her continued
dedication to serve the less privileged Abrenios who are deprived of the basic
social services.
In her 25 years
as Medtech, Martin, a graduate of the Far Eastern University, Manila, said,
this latest award accorded to her is the highest citation she ever got.
As provincial
coordinator for the health programs on blood, renal disease
control, malaria control, and kilatis kutis (leprosy control),
Martin was awarded in 2009 as Dangal ng Bayan of the Civil
Service Commission. Her unconditional and untiring support to the other
health programs of the Provincial Government of Abra such the Anti-Tuberculosis
Program for capacitating the rural health midwives and nurses in the microscopy
project, Martin was also awarded the Most Outstanding Medtech in the Cordillera
Region as well as in Northern Luzon.
