No power in Baguio, Benguet areas Apr 11


The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines will shut down  some of its transmission facilities in Baguio and Benguet on April 11 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. which will affect power distribution of the Benguet Electric Coop.

Lilibeth P. Gaydowen, NGCP spokesperson said the shutdown is part of its annual preventive maintenance of its 75MVA power transformer No. 2 and equipment at La Trinidad substation simultaneous with line maintenance along La Trinidad – Lamut and La Trinidad – Itogon/Philex line.


Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion, she said, adding the public is advised to take  necessary preparations and precautions for scheduled power. interruption.
