BENGUET- Top performing high school students of the adopted
schools of Hedcor in the province of Benguet were once again awarded with
financial assistance for this school year.
The distribution held at the Department of
Education-Benguet Division Office catered to 18 students from La Trinidad,
Sablan and Itogon municipalities which amounts to P54,000. Jenefer Butali, one
of the recipients from Sablan National High School, extended her gratitude to
the company in behalf of the co-recipients from her school. Jenefer said that
this is her second time to accept the assistance from the company for
maintaining her high scholastic record.
Same through with Catherine Joy Bugtong of Ampucao
National High School in Itogon, Benguet, who also received the stipend for the
second pace. “Sa dalawang taon ko pong tumanggap ng financial assistance
mula sa Hedcor, malaki po ang naitulong nito sa mga gastusin ko sa aking pag-aaral.
Salamat po sa patuloy ninyong pagsuporta sa amin sa pamamagitan ng financial assistance
naito.” Catherine promised to give her best in her studies in return.

Rafael, a third-time receiver of the allowance said that this assistance serves
as her inspiration to perform well in her studies and to aim for higher grades
every year.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa tuluy-tuloy na pagbigay ninyong financial
assistance sa amin.Ngayong fourth year student napo ako, it’s a great privilege
po na isa ako sa mga tumatanggap nito sa dami naming mga estudyante.” Each school have
six students present to avail of their incentives.
Another set of 12 students from Bakun National High
School and Ampusongan National High School in Bakun, Benguet were rewarded P30,
000 worth of monetary assistance.
The grantees are determined based on their annual
academic performance in their respective schools. Aiming to assist the students
in their expenses on their transportation, books, and other primary learning
needs, Hedcor hands each recipient P3, 000 worth of financial assistance every
school year. Some high school graduates who finished with flying colors and
passed the screening test for Hedcor’s college grant got the chance to extend
their scholarship up to their university years, choosing the course they want
to take.
Through the years, Hedcor Inc. sets out on social
projects to promote educational advancement in schools. Hedcor continues to
focus on education as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programs to
support the overall sustainable development of its recipients and to carry out
its promise of a better future to the children of its host barangays in
Benguet, Mountain Province and Davao.
