BAGUIO
CITY – A former councilor of nearby La Trinidad, Benguet, who had gone
into hiding for more than a month after being tagged in a pyramiding scam, was
arrested here July 4.
Von Ryan TumpaoTauli, 42, was cornered in front of a restaurant on
Session Road by Baguio City and Benguet police intelligence operatives.
Tauli told police he worked in Manila as a gym instructor while his
lawyer was settling the complaints against him.
He was accused of collecting sums of money from supposed investors of
Riqueza International with promises of huge returns that never came.
