BAGUIO CITY
- - The National Statistics Office – Cordillera Administrative Region emerged
as the top performing region during the Philippine Statistics Authority 2014

As per category, NSO garnered 1st place in

An annual
event since 1992, the field offices award gives recognition to NSO field
offices’ efforts in promoting statistics and civil registration products and
services.
For years,
NSO - CAR has been a consistent awardee and is included in the circle of top
regions.
PSA – CAR
Interim Regional Director Olivia Gulla, who accepted the award in behalf of the
NSO regional office, discloses that the region’s success is anchored on her
initiated formula, “STAT”, which means Shared vision, Teamwork, Analysis of
situation and Time Management.
“Along
strong leadership, commitment of personnel and rapport with stakeholders, this
paves the way for NSO – CAR to make it to the top”, Gulla added.
This year’s
Field Awards will be the final awarding for former NSO field offices, as they
now already merged with the National Statistical Coordination Board, Bureau of
Labor and Employment Statistics and Department of Agriculture and is now known
as Philippine Statistical Authority.
The PSA will
now be in charge of recognition awards, which the PSA management aims to expand
by including the outputs of all merging statistical agencies.
