Cordillera’s No. 2 Top Drug Personality Fall in Jail


 POLICE REGIONAL OFFICE CORDILLERA:The Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO-COR) gained headway in its anti-illegal drug campaign with the arrest of two drug personality during the PRO-COR’s anti-illegal drug operations.

Cordillera’s No. 2 Top Drug Personality finally landed in jail after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation at about 10:30 PM of March 31, 2015 in Trancoville Barangay, fronting Department of Agrarian Reform Office, Baguio City.

Acting City Director, Police Senior Superintendent Rolando Miranda identified the arrested notorious drug suspect as Jose SumbadBuli-e, aka Jhong, 46, driver who was nabbed by the joint operatives of Regional and City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (CAID-SOTG & RAIDSOTG) and members of Station 2, BCPO.

Confiscated from the suspect were (1) piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected SHABU with a total weight of approximately zero point four (0.4) gram with Dangerous Drug Board Value (DDB) value of Php2,400.00 and buy-bust money amounting to Php1,000.00.

The pieces of evidence were turned over to the PNP Regional Crime Laboratory at Camp Bado Dangwa for chemical analysis while Buli-e was subjected for drug test examination. A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 was filed against him in court.

Moreover, in the municipality of Bakun, listed as No. 10 drug personality was locked-up in jail after he was arrested in his residence at Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet in the afternoon of March 28, 2015 for the same offense.

Personnel of Bakun MPS arrested Joni Abeddew, 52, farmer by the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Manuel, the presiding Judge of the RTC, Branch 34 of Balaolan, La Union for the violation of RA 9165.

“The illegal drugs always remain as one of the primary concerns of PRO-COR, thus, all line units were ordered to sustain an intensified police operations against illegal drugs”, Police Regional Director PCSupt Isagani Nerez said.

PRO-COR leadership added that PRO-COR had revitalized the implementation of its existing strategy against illegal drugs to further strengthen its capacity to carry-out holistic and coordinated operations in support of the PDEA.###
