4 Baguio graduates land top 10 in teachers license exam

BAGUIO CITY -- Four Baguio graduates landed top 10 in  recently released Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) by the Professional Regulation Commission.

In elementary level, University of Baguio's Reina Angeli Tamayo landed  third with 87.80 rating . 

Saint Louis University's Femie Joy Tacdoy and Noshiaianne Neri Tactay ranked fourth and sixth with rating of  87.60 % and 87.20%, respectively.

In the secondary level, Rommel Gregorio of the University of the Philippines-Baguio was sixth with 89.40% rating.

The PRC and the Board for Professional Teachers announced that 12,103 out of 44,144 examinees(27.42%)  for elementary  teachers or and 17,904 out of 56,596 examinees for secondary teachers or 31.63%  successfully passed the LET  given last March 29, 2015  in 17  testing centers all over the country and  in Singapore.

SLU ranked second among the schools with the highest passing rate with 97.30%  or 36 passers out of 37 in the elementary level and a 90.32% or 140 passers out of 155 examinees in the secondary level.

UP-Baguio had a 100 percent passing rate with 29 teachers in the secondary level.

According to the PRC, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on June 1, 2015.

Requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card are the following: 1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpang Propesyonal; 2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); 3) 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag); 4) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and 5) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2015-2018.

Successful examinees should personally  register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

PRC said that the dates and venues for the oath taking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later.
