By Liezle Basa Inigo

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan- The number of voters who lack biometric data all over Pangasinan is now down to 100,000 after the signing of memorandum of agreement between the Commission on Elections  and several shopping malls in the province which provided for the easy registration of voters.

Registration of voters can now be made in SM Rosales City, Robinsons Mall in Calasiao and all malls of the CSI Group of Companies and Magic Group of Companies.

Atty. Marino Salas, provincial elections supervisor, said the deadline for biometric registration is on October 31. Failure of voters to meet the deadline will result in their removal from the list of voters, he added.

He also reiterated that the public registration of voters is still going on in all election offices in 44 towns and four cities of Pangasinan and in malls but only on designated dates.

Salas said they will strictly enforce the “No Bio, No Boto” rule of the Comelec.

Meanwhile, the Comelec has announced that it will start receiving certificates of candidacy starting October 16 from those seeking elective positions in next year s elections.
