BONTOC,
Mountain Province -- The Sangguniang Panlalawigan here agreed to
support Resolution No. 2015-1901 of the Bukidnon SP on the grant of step
increment or benefits to elective officials for length of service.
The Bukidnon SP resolution requested the
Department of Budget and Management through Assistant Sec. Myrna S. Chua to
hasten review and approval of the proposed Civil Service Commission– DBM joint
circular on the rules and regulations on the grant of step increment to
elective officials due to length of service.
The resolution states that
elective officials all throughout the country in unanimous accord are hoping
for final implementation of the CSC-DBM joint circular as legacy of the present
administration in recognizing the services of public office serving various
elective positions.
The release of said step increment would
boost morale and stronger commitment of elective officials to serve more, the
resolution added.
In their resolution, the Mountain Province SP
stated that they join all the elective officials of the country in praying for
the final implementation of the CSC-DBM joint circular. -- Juliet B. Saley
