MP backs grant of more benefits for elective execs


BONTOC, Mountain Province -- The Sangguniang Panlalawigan here agreed to support Resolution No. 2015-1901 of the Bukidnon SP on the grant of step increment or benefits to elective officials for length of service.

The Bukidnon SP resolution requested the Department of Budget and Management through Assistant Sec. Myrna S. Chua to hasten review and approval of the proposed Civil Service Commission– DBM joint circular on the rules and regulations on the grant of step increment to elective officials due to length of service.

The resolution states  that  elective officials all throughout the country in unanimous accord are hoping for final implementation of the CSC-DBM joint circular as legacy of the present administration in recognizing the services of public office serving various elective positions.

The release of said step increment would boost morale and stronger commitment of elective officials to serve more, the resolution added.

In their resolution, the Mountain Province SP stated that they join all the elective officials of the country in praying for the final implementation of the CSC-DBM joint circular. -- Juliet B. Saley
