The
Cordillera Regional Development Council cited the Department of Labor and
Employment, Cordillera Administrative Region for best-performing DOLE regional
office nationwide in 2015.
Henry
S. Jalbuena was also awarded “best DOLE regional director.”
The
recognition was made during yearend performance assessment among all DOLE
regional offices nationwide in Manila on December 10-11, 2015.
The
RLA, dubbed as this year's DOLE's "Hakot-award region", also bagged
six special citations: higher compliance rate with Commission on Audit
recommendations: best program implementer for child labor-free barangays; best
program implementer for child labor-free establishments; best labor laws
compliance system implementer; best labor and employment education services implementer;
and recognition for actively promoting the program and facilitating requests
for assistance (October 2014-September 2015).
For
making the Cordillera Region more advanced compared to other regions in labor
law compliance, and for proving that the region has what it takes to be
autonomous, the CAR RDC cited DOLE-CAR officials and employees.
