NARVACAN, Ilocos Sur — Maritime authorities have been alerted on the disappearance of a fisherman and his fishing boat in the West Philippine Sea the other day.
The Narvacan Municipal
Police Station said Ruben Callejo, a fisherman from Barangay San Pedro, this
town, had ventured out to sea last Wednesday to catch fish.
Other fishermen in the locality noted that
the water was choppy and there were big waves in the West Philippine Sea when
Callejo set out to fish.
Apart from the
maritime authorities, police have also asked the assistance of local fishermen
in the region to be on the lookout for the missing fisherman.
