GAMU, Isabela -- Unidentified assailants
lobbed a grenade at the house of a mayoral candidate’s campaign supporter here
in Barangay Mabini on May 1.
The Isabela Police Provincial Office said the
grenade exploded at 1 a.m. at the house of Edna Tungpalan, 44, the national
coordinator of the Patriotic Action for Democracy, Equality and Reform (PADER).
No one was hurt in the blast and Tungpalan
was not around when it happened.
Investigators said some neighbors saw two men
riding in tandem on a motorcycle fleeing the area shortly after the explosion.
The case is still under investigation.
