Pangasinan gov posts bail over illegal mining case

DAGUPAN CITY - Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino posted Monday a P60,000-bail for two graft cases he is facing before the Sandiganbayan.
Accompanied by his lawyer, Espino appeared before the anti-graft court’s sixth division after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Espino was indicted for his alleged involvement in illegal black sand mining in Pangasinan.

The Sandiganbayan denied his motion for judicial determination of probable cause saying the issues he raised “are best addressed during the trial.”
