3 dead in Ilocos road accidents

A tricycle passenger in La Union, and two motorcycle riders in Ilocos Norte all died in separate road accidents last week, police reported.
Chief Insp. Artemio Infante, La Union police’s information officer, said Winifredo Garcia, who was on board a tricycle, was killed when the vehicle was sideswiped by a truck in Barangay Tubod, Sto. Tomas, La Union.
In Ilocos Norte, police said motorcycle rider Bryan Mark P. Aganon, 35, slammed into a post in Batac City and died of his injuries.
In a separate incident Ronald D. Navarro, another motorcycle rider was killed after a collision with a truck along the national highway in San Ildefonso, San Nicolas town.

       Navaro’s tandem rider identified by police as Rocela de la Cerna, 34, a native of Cebu City, was injured and hospitalized while the truck driver, Francis A. Quillermo, 29, was arrested by police.
