P6.8 million marijuana burned in Ilocos Sur

SUGPON, Ilocos Sur – Authorities burned almost P7 million worth of marijuana they uprooted here last week.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Philippine National Police operatives discovered three cultivation sites, with an estimated land area of 1,800 square meters and torched it.
The haul, perhaps yet the biggest in the Ilocos region this year,  totaled to 28,800 fully-grown marijuana plants and 73.6575 grams of marijuana seeds with a sum of P6,801,850 pegged by the Dangerous Drugs Board.
Authorities failed to catch any cultivator.
