More killed in Central, North Luzon drug war


More suspected persons involved in illegal drugs were killed in North and Central Luzon last week.

Pangasinan
In Pangasinan, a drug surrenderee was found with gunshots to the head in Barangay Poblacion 1, Pozorrubio town.
A piece of cardboard marked “Huwag ako tularan, magnanakaw ako (Don’t emulate me, I’m a thief)” was found near the body of Mark Soriano, 28, of Barangay Alipangpang.
Probers recovered bullet shells for a .45 caliber pistol from the crime scene.
Unidentified motorcycle-riding men shot dead businessman Joselito Ambat, 53, in Barangay Concepcion in Cervantes, Ilocos Sur on Nov. 18.
Ambat, whom police said was on its drug watchlist, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Besang Pass Hospital Memorial Hospital.

ABC prexy arrested
Meanwhile, authorities Tuesday arrested the president of the Liga ng mga Barangay in Pangasinan following a raid on his residence in Bani town.
The raiding team allegedly seized eight plastic sachets said to contain shabu from the house of Eduardo Ramones Jr. in Barangay Ambabaay.
Ramones was said to be a high-value target of the Bani police.
Chief Insp. Danilo Perez, town police chief, said he had been urging Ramones to surrender but he refused.
Ramones, who is in his second term as president of the Liga ng mga Barangay, did not resist arrest
Still in Pangasinan, drug surrenderee Marlon Opague, 37, was sitting near the road Monday in Barangay Amangbangan in Alaminos City when he was killed.
           Opague had surrendered to authorities during the conduct of Oplan Tokhang in their village.

Isabela shabu haul
On Monday, alleged drug trafficker Silvino Andres was arrested following a raid on his residence that resulted in the recovery of an undetermined amount of shabu, firearms and ammunition in San Mateo, Isabela.

Bulacan body count up
Eight drug suspects were killed in separate incidents in Bulacan Wednesday.
         The fatalities were identified as Ruben Esquivel,  Nupronio Nagayo,  Gregorio Castillo, a certain Alma and Tyson, and three others whose names were not immediately available.
Esquievel was killed by an unidentified assailant who barged into his residence in Barangay Poblacion, Norzagaray.
Nagayo was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men in San Rafael town.
Bulacan police acting director Romeo Caramat said Castillo, Alma and the three unidentified fatalities were shot dead as they were conducting pot session in Barangay Banga 1st, in Plaridel town.
Tyson was killed in an alleged shootout with a police officer in nearby Barangay Bayabas.
Caramat said all the fatalities were on the drug watch list of their respective villages.
          On Monday, a certain Roy was killed after allegedly trying to resist arrest during a sting in Bocaue town.
Recovered from the suspect were four plastic sachets said to contain shabu, a .45 caliber pistol and marked money.
Two fatalities identified as Celso Alvido and Jerry Guardiano, both of the province were killed Monday.
Alvido, who is on the police drug watchlist, allegedly pulled out a gun after sensing that he was dealing with undercover agents during a sting in Barangay Santor, Malolos City.
Probers recovered from the suspect an improvised gun, a plastic sachet said to contain shabu and marked money, said Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat.
 Guardiano was walking in Barangay Yakal, San Jose del Monte City when motorcycle-riding men shot him, killing him instantly.
One of the assailants left a placard with the words, “Wag tularan, salot ng lipunan, tulak ng droga (Don’t emulate, drug pusher)” near the victim’s body.
Probers recovered three bullet shells for a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Pampanga man in drug list shot dead

In Angeles City, Ariel Garcia was shot dead by an unidentified assailant as he was having a drinking session with his friends.Garcia was allegedly on the drug list of the barangay. – Ric Sapnu, Eva Visperas
