Four drug suspects were
killed in police operations in Bulacan and two others in Nueva Ecija in the
past two days.
Col. Chito
Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said Renato Piano, alias Intoy, resisted
arrest and shot it out with anti-narcotics agents in a sting in Barangay San
Rafael, San Jose del Monte on Monday night.
Renato
Gonzales, alias Totoy, and Rommel Candule, alias Boknoy, were killed in alleged
shootouts with police officers in Barangay Poblacion, Sta. Maria and a certain
Glen Paguntalan in Ulingao-Barangca, San Rafael.
Bersaluna
said eight other suspects were arrested in drug busts in Baliwag, Balagtas,
Obando, San Miguel and San Jose del Monte City. He said 25 sachets of shabu and
marked money were recovered from the suspects.
In Nueva
Ecija, Brig. Gen. Joel Napoleon Coronel, Central Luzon police director, said
Anthony Arenas, 36, and Cedric Mina, 23, drew their guns when they sensed they
had sold shabu to police officers who posed as buyers in Barangay Bakod Bayan,
Cabanatuan City.
Police said
27 sachets of shabu, a Honda motorcycle, P500 in marked money and the guns used
by the suspects were recovered.

the fatalities were on the drug watchlist of the Cabanatuan police. -- Ramon Efren Lazaro, Ric Sapnu
