Summer Capital “Spaghetti wires” out in 180 days

By Gaby Keith

BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Benjamin Magalong said that the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Corporation, Globe and other telecom companies, in collaboration with the Benguet Electric Cooperative (Beneco), gave their commitment to the city government to remove “spaghetti wires” in the Summer Capital within 180 days.
The Mayor said the move was a significant improvement from a previous plan to address the problem in one year and eight months.
He revealed that the execution started in December 9 this year  and will be completed in July of 2020.
The removal of spaghetti wires is in line with the Mayor’s strict implementation of the city government’s one-pole policy.
