Nine more
COVID victors got off from hospital confinement Friday.
The Baguio
General Hospital treats it as a victory day as eight of the discharged patients
are healthworkers employed by the hospital.
They along
with another employee who remain under confinement were diagnosed within days
of each other within the last week of April.
The said
hospital worker and a new patient -- a policeman assigned in Camp Crame -- are
the two remaining active COVID cases in the city.

The city
listed one new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case last week, a 41-year old
policeman from Camp Crame and resident of Dontogan barangay.
Mayor Benjie
Magalong said Major Rafael Baldado Roxas, deputy chief of the Fingerprint
Division National Headquarters of the Philippine National Police Crime
Laboratory agreed to be identified.
The mayor
said Roxas' case cannot be considered as a local transmission as he apparently
contracted the virus in Manila.
The patient
is now confined at a health facility and his family and contacts
isolated.

The Baguio
City Police Office arrested a man for causing disturbance at Cresencia Village
by noisily and speedily driving his car along the street at past 9 PM on May
11.
In a report
to Mayor Magalong, BCPO Director P Col. Allen Rae Co identified the suspect as
Orlando Villa Delgado y De Guzman Jr., 26 years old.
Investigation
disclosed that at around 9:25 p.m. of May 11, the Tactical Operations Center of
the BCPO received reports of an alleged car racing at the vicinity of Holiday,
Bokawkan to Ferguson Road causing nuisance and alarm among residents.
As a result,
personnel of Police Station 2 under P Capt. Jem Benito scoured the area and
flagged down the vehicle but instead of stopping, the driver sped off prompting
police personnel to conduct a dragnet operation that led to the rounding up of
the suspect.
The suspect
parked his vehicle at the barangay hall but instead of calmly surrendering,
engaged authorities in an argument and even threw things at them.
The suspect
was subjected to inquest proceedings for a case of alleged violation of
Republic Act 11332, Disobedience to Person in Authority, Direct Assault and
Alarms and Scandal.
