BAGUIO CITY-- Converge Information Communications Technology Solutions, Inc. on July 23, 2021 at the Baguio Country Club announced that it has added Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino to its coverage area in North Luzon (NL).
The company said it has already introduced its service to a total of 44 cities and municipalities in NL in the first half of the year.
The NL expansion of Converge allows it to service up to 137 cities and municipalities in the area, including new areas such as La Trinidad, Benguet; Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; and Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
The company also stated that it will move aggressively to cover 100% of the Province of Pangasinan in August, consisting 48 towns. In a statement, Converge Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dennis Anthony Uy said that it is part of their Go Deep expansion strategy where they will increase coverage in regions where the company have already a presence.
"With the North Luzon expansion well underway, we expect our fiber network coverage in Luzon to hit above 60% this year from 43% by end-2020," Uy added.
The company announced that it is also offering its innovative product called Fiber X Time of Day where subscribers in the new service areas can enjoy double their speeds to up to 800 Mbps at their preferred set time, either Day or Night.
Converge Chief Operating Officer Jesus Romero said that along with the rollout of fiber lines and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) ports in NL, they will be opening business center across the area to be able to reach customers more effectively and respond to their service inquiries and other after-sales concerns in a timely manner.
According to the company, it aims to reach 55% of total Philippine households by 2025 as it continues to expand to new areas such as those in Visayas and Mindanao. It also targets to deepen its presence in regions where it currently operates.
