Van plunges down deep Benguet town ravine; 3 dead, 2 hurt

KABAYAN, Benguet -- Three passengers died and three others were injured after a minivan plunged into a 100-meter-deep ravine here at Sitio Timbac, Barangay Pacso on Sept. 26.
    Declared dead on arrival at the Atok District Hospital were Andrew Tambuling Dulagan and Charlie Bagsawan Dulagan.
    Third fatality Jerald Dulagan expired while being treated at the said hospital.
    The injured passengers were identified as Jerry Tauli Dulagan, Honor Tauli Dulagan and Amos Bagsawan Dulagan.
    The only person onboard the minivan who was not hurt is Jeffrey Bagsawan Dulagan.
    All of them are relatives and residents of Cadatngan, Cattubo, Atok, Benguet.
    According to the police, the vehicle's brakes malfunctioned while traversing the road causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
