Benguet most wanted man held for rape of La Trinidad schoolgirl


LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police arrested the top most wanted person in here noon of March 21 along km 5, Barangay Pico, town police chief Lt. Col. Rodelio D. Olsim bared. 
    He identified the suspect as Rovel Felix Morales a.k.a Bil-bill, 23, single, farmer, here of Sadag, Bahong.
    This, after Marietta S Brawner-Cualing, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 9, La Trinidad,     Benguet issued warrant against him March for rape with no bail recommended.
    Investigation disclosed between 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Oct. 20, 2021 while the victim was doing her module, Morales, who was  under the influence of liquor barged inside her room holding a knife and suddenly pulled both hands of the victim then laid her in bed.
    The suspect went on top of the victim and forcibly raped her.
    After that, the suspect pointed the knife on the victim`s face and threatened her saying, " haan ka nga agipulpulong nu agipulong ka patayen ka (Don’t tell on me or I will kill you)."
    The victim kept the incident to herself, but when she always vomited and felt dizzy, her mother accompanied her for check-up wherein they found out she was pregnant.
    Following this, the victim revealed to her mother that she was forcibly raped by Morales.
    The accused was brought to La Trinidad police where he was detained.
La Trinidad police and regional police investigating unit personnel arrested the suspect.
