Special police group formed in Pangasinan vs criminality

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO — The recently activated Regional Special Operations Task Group (RSOTG) of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office has been tasked to intensify its campaign against all forms of criminality in the province.
    Specifically, the group will be in charge of neutralizing the private armed groups that may be present in the province, recover loose firearms, arrest most wanted persons and other criminal groups in the province.
    Region 1 top cop, Police Brigadier General Westrimundo D Obinque said that 392 contingents from different PNP units in Pangasinan and making the composite group will be deployed in the different municipalities of Pangasinan, especially in areas that are categorized under immediate concern.
    The Regional Special Operations Task Group (RSOTG) will implement well-coordinated, diversified, and intensified law enforcement operations.
    BGen Obinque reminded the members of the RSOTG to observe utmost discipline and to remain neutral, non-partisan and apolitical.
    “Siguraduhin natin na palagi tayong sumusunod sa Standard Operating Procedures, iwasan natin ang pagpapakita na may kinikilingan tayo,” said BGen Obinque.
    “Kagaya ng paulit-ulit kong sinasabi, we shall remain neutral, apolitical, and non-partisan. Walang pulis ang magpapakita ng pabor o pagsuporta sa sinumang kandidato, kailangan nating maging patas,” he added.
    Meanwhile, PRO1 is continuously working on the activation of RSTOG in other provinces. The said initiative is aimed at ensuring a secure, accurate, free and fair elections on May 9, 2022.
