Man threatens to kill live-in partner; held

SABLAN, Benguet – A 27-year-old man was arrested here on Monday, Oct. 17, for allegedly threatening to kill his live-in partner.
    Col. Damian Olsim, Benguet police chief, said suspect Darwin Kindipan, faces charges for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act or Republic Act 9262.
    Olsim said Kindipan, listed as No. 1 most wanted person here, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Judge Marietta Brawner-Cualing of Branch 9, Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, La Trinidad, Benguet.
    Police said the suspect harassed and threatened to kill his live-in partner and stop supporting their children on Aug. 18.
    Suspect is under the custody of the police here for documentation prior to presentation and return of the warrant of arrest to the court of origin.
