SAGADA Mountain Province -- A basic journalism training participated by church youth from three churches of Sagada deanery was held here from Nov. 25-27.
Sponsored by the Social Concerns Committee of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin the three-day event was participated by eight high school students from churches of St Marks of Tanulong, St Simon Peter of Demang and CSMV.
Aimed to hone writing skills of church youth, the training had lectures by local writers on the principles of newswriting by Gina Dizon, feature writing by Alma Bagano and editorial writing by Benjamin Longid.
In the same event, a bible study on the Gospel taken from Matthew 25:31-46 was facilitated by lay minister Wanay Pagadian.
Also, elements of mandala arts was delivered by resource person peace advocate Dom-an Macagne.
