Rudy Garcia
Antay grasya
I was a little bit stunned hen a friend sent me a message that a top official of the National Bureau of Investigation was mad and looking for me after reportedly getting information from an unidentified stupido that I was the source of a rumor that the official is the protector of a bar and a billiard joint in Baguio.
I should have shrugged off and ignored this if not for another friend who also sent me a text message telling me the same. Whoever that nincompoop who got the nerve to tell false stories trying to persuade NBI official that I have done an act of betrayal must be smiling and thinking that I am hiding out of fear from the wrath of this official.
To tell this idiot, I am not yet flying to the moon. I got my balls intact and I am still standing where I am and will always stand for what I believe is right. My column in this paper will continue the same style without fear or favor. No amount of demolition tactics or attacks could stop me from writing and exposing what should be exposed. To my detractors, throw me the ball and I will start the ball rolling.
And to Mr. NBI official, there’s nothing to explain and I know that I am not yet that too old to be stupid in planting a poisonous berry which I will have to reap afterwards. No sir, I still have my wisdom tooth and know what is right or wrong.

Funny but it seems that the favorite sport these days is shoe throwing. Thanks to the journalist who introduced this game by trying it on former US President George Bush. Recently, someone also threw a shoe on a Chinese prime minister while the latter was speaking before an audience at the United Kingdom.
The two players could be poor throwers since they did not hit their targets. Maybe they need more training and a good coach to teach them better so that next time, it will be a sure hit. I think it will also be a smart idea if I would put up a shop that will manufacture and sell shoe proof vests.
I guess I could be making a lot of deposits in my bank account courtesy of my clients who would be mostly thick faced government officials and politicos. Hehehe. This sounds great isn’t it?

A Japanese contractor linked First Gentleman Mike Arroyo of bid rigging on World Bank contracts. The lawyer of FG was quick to deny and say that the claim was bogus and as usual, the palace just shrugged off and claimed it was another political attack.
Those spin masters of the Arroyo administration could be thinking that they can easily sell this kind of excuses or tactics to the public that they forgot to think the WB is a financial institution and not a political group. Now, instead of denials and making excuses, why don’t our honorables at the Palace coordinate with the WB to know who are behind those blacklisted contractors and be the ones to open the doors at the jail for those found guilty whether these are private citizens, government officials, relatives or even the husband of president?
I doubt if the people believe such excuses. They know the government is trying to play to appease everyone and is putting deodorants on the stinking smell coming from the House Beside the Pasig. The more praise releases, speeches and goobledygook these bootlickers say, the more they are prone to public ridicule.
The more they talk, the more mistakes they make while the more, the international community continues laughing at this country which is considered one of the corrupt countries in Asia. There is really a lot of monkey business in this Banana Republic. Nakakahiya.

The AZCKO barangay fund raising bingo social near Igorot Park in Baguio was the subject of several complaints filed at the office of the city mayor. But i wonder why these complainants are not looking around or are they pretending not to see what’s happening under their noses?
If they choose to look the other way around unmindful of the existence of illegal gambling, illegal numbers game and so forth on every corners, then I suppose they should join the bandwagon of hypocrites who are fond of barking on coconut trees that don’t give them that much coconuts. Anti what? Baka antay grasya!

Is the National Telecommunications Commission in Cordillera doing its job to monitor those outlets selling second hand cell phones? You can see these outlets in malls alleys, public roads and even trade fairs. If reports are true that some operators of these outlets are in cahoots with some bad elements like cell phone snatchers and thieves then there is reason for us to be alarmed.
The NTC should conduct regular inspections in these outlets. I have heard of some raids done by the NTC but I wonder if there were people who were jailed for violation of the anti-fencing law. I hope I’m just too lazy to look for the records at the Justice Hall, the reason why I don’t see anyone being tried at the courts for this kind of violation.
