P50M road projects completed in Apayao
CONNER, Apayao – More than P50 million worth of road projects were completed by the First Apayao Engineering District.
The completion of the two road projects worth P25 million each was done in accordance with the policy of Public works Secretary Rogelio Singson which prescribes the right project with the right quality and the right cost which will help in the development of remote communities nationwide, including this remote Cordillera province.
Jaime G. Lumiqued, district engineer of the First Apayao Engineering District, said the two major infrastructure road projects were done with strict monitoring to make sure these were done in accordance to plans and specifications.
The completed road projects include the 3.5-km upgrading and concreting of a portion of the Abbot-Conner road and the rehabilitation of the Linneng section of the road which will greatly result to convenient
travel among motorists going to and from the towns of Conner and Cabugao coming from Cagayan province.
According to Lumiqued, the implementation of infrastructure projects are strictly supervised by competent technical personnel from the district, regional and even central offices of the agency to ensure that the completed projects will be done as programmed so that it will be beneficial to the communities traversed by the said projects.
Lumiqued expressed his gratitude to Rep. Eleanor Bulut-Begtang, Gov. Elias Bulut, Jr., the provincial, municipal and barangay officials for their unrelenting support to the speedy implementation of projects in the district. – Dexter See
