CABANATUAN CITY – Two election officers have been relieved from their posts in Nueva Ecija, with four more poll officials expected to follow in a few months.
Commission on Elections provincial election supervisor Panfilo Doctor Jr. said Gapan City election officer Belen Rivera has swapped posts with San Jose City election officer Harold Ramos.
Gapan is reportedly preparing for the recall petition filed against re-electionist Mayor Christian Tinio, Vice Mayor RodelMatias and two other city councilors by allies of former three-term mayor Ernesto Natividad.
Doctor said Ramos has to take the place of Rivera because the Gapan election office needs a lawyer to take care of the recall petition.
Doctor said that four more poll officers are set to be relieved but refused to identify them pending their re-assignments.
