3 Pasuquin residents nabbed for marijuana

PASUQUIN, Ilocos Norte– Three residents here were caught at the highway boundary of Cadaratan and Bacarra town of the province as they sold 50 sachets of marijuana worth P20,000 to anti-narcotics agents who posed as users.

The suspects were identified as Rally de Chavez, Mark Lagazo and Winston Rivera all in their twenties and residents of Barangay 3 here.

 Regional Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and local police participated in the operation.

 Two bricks and a bag full of the illegal hemp were also confiscated from the suspects including a cellular phone used in the illegal drug transaction and a motorcycle used to transport the drugs.

Suspects are now facing cases for illegal drugs.

PDEA regional director Edgar S. Apalla also confirmed intelligence reports that marijuana coming from the hinterlands of Cordillera reach as far as Ilocos Norte.
