SALLAPADAN, Abra – A cop with a standing warrant for his arrest
after being implicated in operations of the multi-million shabu factory in
Naguillan, La Union surrendered here last week.

Rodolfo S. Damian, 33, married, of South Poblacion, Bucay, Abra
voluntarily surrendered July 16, to the Police Intelligence Division Management
Branch, Abra Police Provincial Office after negotiations.
The report said Damian was detailed at the Sallapadan municipal
police station at the time of his surrender and was respondent of a court suit
following the raid of the shabu laboratory at Barangay Bimmotobot, Naguilian on
July 2008.
Several police officers have been charged in court as “protectors” of the shabu laboratory.
The raid led to the discovery and seizure of a trillion pesos
worth of illegal substance and equipment in manufacturing methamphetamine hydrochloride.
Judge Ferdinand A Fe, of regional trial court branch 67 of
Bauang, La Union issued a warrant for his arrest last July 2 for illegal drugs.
He was brought to Abra Provincial Hospital for medical examination
and later to Abra provincial police office prior to turnover to the court.
