By George Trillo

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – At least six persons were wounded by stray bullets fired during the New Year's Eve revelry in two Bulacan towns, a belated police report said.

Five of the victims were in San Jose del Monte and one in Baliwag, a report of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office to Camp Olivas stated.

Police said two of the slugs recovered near the scene were from a caliber .45 pistol.

Camp Olivas earlier said 36 persons were arrested in Central Luzon during the New Year’s Eve revelry and charged with violation of Republic Act 7183, which regulates the sale, manufacture, distribution and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices.

Police said illegal firecrackers worth P695,000 were confiscated in Central Luzon.
