SAN
FERNANDO, Pampanga – At least six persons were wounded by stray bullets fired
during the New Year's Eve revelry in two Bulacan towns, a belated police report
said.
Five of the victims
were in San Jose del Monte and one in Baliwag, a report of the Bulacan
Police Provincial Office to Camp Olivas stated.
Police said two of
the slugs recovered near the scene were from a caliber .45 pistol.
Camp Olivas earlier
said 36 persons were arrested in Central Luzon during the New Year’s Eve
revelry and charged with violation of Republic Act 7183, which regulates the
sale, manufacture, distribution and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic
devices.
Police said illegal
firecrackers worth P695,000 were confiscated in Central Luzon.
