Cops arrest 3 wanted persons in Cordillera



CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police nabbed last week three wanted persons, two of them included in the top most wanted list in their municipalities.

Cordillera police director Chief Supt. Benajamin B. Magalong, bared this here saying on Jan. 4, a murder suspect was nabbed by police from Ifugao and Santiago City, among the lawmen at Purok 3, La Salette Rd., Plaridel, Santiago City.

The arrested person was identified as Harold Castillo also known as Virgilio Corpuz, 52, of Fairview, Quezon City.

The arrest was made following warrant for his arrest issued by Judge Ester Picoso-Flor of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14, Lagawe, Ifugao. No bail recommended for his temporary liberty.

The following day, Tuba, Benguet police arrested Jorgen Corisay Banana, 25, of Taloy Sur in the town for theft.

 A warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Marieta Cualing of Municipal Circuit Trial Court Tuba-Sablan with bail set at P38, 000.

On Jan. 6, the top 5 most wanted person in Bangued, Abra was arrested for murder.

A team of the Regional Special Operations Task Group- Abra under supervision of Senior Supt. Roberto Quinto Soriano arrested Romeo Almazan Bicera, 46, of Calaba, Bangued.

Judge Raphiel F. Alzate, of Regional Trial Court, Branch 1, Bangued issued a warrant earlier for his arrest.
