By Larry Lopez

TABUK CITY, Kalinga -– The Department of Agriculture completed two farm-market-road projects worth P10M in the province last year.

This was bared by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist  which identified the projects as those in in barangays Santor in Rizal and Nambaran, Tabuk City, each costing P5 million.

Joe Casibang of OPAG said the projects were part of the eight FMR projects  promised to Kalinga by DA Sec. Proceso Alcala worth P34.5 million for 2012 to increase agricultural production.

Aside from the two completed projects, another in BantayPataddog, Tabuk City is being constructed worth P3.3 million while the remaining five units have been bidded out and now ready for implementation.

Casibang said FMR projects are under DA’s infrastructure support facility to encourage farmers to boost production level as they can bring their farm produce to market outlets easier at less cost.
