TABUK
CITY, Kalinga -– The Department of Agriculture completed two farm-market-road
projects worth P10M in the province last year.
This
was bared by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist which identified the projects as those in in barangays
Santor in Rizal and Nambaran, Tabuk City, each costing P5 million.
Joe
Casibang of OPAG said the projects were part of the eight FMR projects promised to Kalinga by DA Sec. Proceso Alcala
worth P34.5 million for 2012 to increase agricultural production.
Aside
from the two completed projects, another in BantayPataddog, Tabuk City is being
constructed worth P3.3 million while the remaining five units have been bidded
out and now ready for implementation.
Casibang
said FMR projects are under DA’s infrastructure support facility to encourage
farmers to boost production level as they can bring their farm produce to
market outlets easier at less cost.
