NARVACAN,
Ilocos Sur– The 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, (7ID) of Philippine
Army headed by Maj. Gen. Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr., urged young men to join
the army saying registration and pre-screening for first batch of applicants
this year has been started.
The
office of the Assistance Chief of Staff for Personnel headed by Lt. Col. Louie
Villanueva facilitated processing of more than 400 applicants on its first day
of registration at the 7ID Grandstand, Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City.
Catapang
said interested applicants should bring legal documents (original copies)
placed in a green folder with proper tabbing containing the following:
A.
whole body picture (3R in white background) bio-data with 2x2 ID picture, birth
certificate (NSO copy), marriage contract of parents (NSO copy), high
school/vocational/college diploma, transcript of records, certificate of
employment (if any), Philippine Army aptitude test battery (PAATB) result,
clearances (barangay/police/mayor/
regional trial court/NBI),
certificate of legal
beneficiaries, affidavit of disinterested person of being single and tax
identification number.
The
newly-promoted major general said applicants must be 18-26 years old and
at least five (5’0”) feet in height.
Waivers
are not allowed for the above-mentioned requirements.
“Only those with complete supporting documents
will be registered as candidate soldier.
Applicants
with lacking documents are advised to complete their supporting papers for
before they can be registered,” added Catapang.
