Baguio Boy cited for fame in int’l bodybuilding tilt


BAGUIO CITY – The city government here formally commended a body builder who brought home pride and honor to the city in a recent international competition.

Baguio boy Ceasar Lukines, owner of the Benguet fitness Center was the lone Filipino bodybuilding competitor who joined the National Physique Committee Emerald Cup 2013 in Meyden Bauer Center Bellevue, Washington, USA.

Lukines ranked third in the Middleweight division  of the NPC Emerald Cup considered a prestigious international bodybuilding competition which attracts hundreds of bodybuilders from around the world.

Lukines bested James Gipson and Darren Kupfer and 18 other top caliber bodybuilders in international competitions.
The NPC emerald Cup is a national qualifier for the open bodybuilding class for the NPC National and USA Championships.

Lukines was a former Mr. Baguio and Mr. Benguet in 2003, the former Mr. Workout Philippines Bodybuilding champion, former Mr. Asia Pacific Athletic Division Champion and former Mr. Philippines. -- Paul Rillorta
