Family of dead OFW thanks Abra provincial gov’t

BANGUED, Abra, -- The family of the late Pedro Billedo Bosque from Lagayan, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia thanked the provincial government of Abra for helping facilitate the shipment of his body to the country.

Bosque died in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia of cardiac arrest on Dec. 5, 2013.  But due to lack of contacts of family members, his body was frozen awaiting repatriation to the Philippines.

Gov. Eustaquio P. Bersamin upon learning of the situation directed  Fredlyn Beato of the Abra-OFW Center to coordinate with the embassy of the United Emirates of Saudi Arabia to facilitate shipment of the cadaver to the country.

Bosque’s body arrived in the country   Feb. 20 and was met  at  the  Ninoy Aquino International Airport by  family and relatives as well as Beato.

The remains of Bosque were brought home to Lagayan on Feb. 22 with help of the 77th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army based in Isabela under the command of Col. FrancisoMillare .

Teresa Bosque, the surviving spouse, thanked those who helped in bringing home  the remains of her husband most especially  Bersamin.
