TABUK CITY, Kalinga --
The Provincial Cooperative and Development Office of Kalinga was recently
nominated as one of the 2014 Cooperative Development Authority Gawad Parangal finalists.
The PCDO was recently named 2014 Most Outstanding LGU Cooperative
Development Office in the Cordillera Administrative Region qualifying it for a
national nomination.
Ronald Ryan Jose of the Kalinga PCDO
said this was the third year that the coop received national nominee
citation for Gawad Parangal for its contribution to cooperative
advancement and empowerment, demonstrating unequivocal commitment as a driving
sector for the socio-economic development of the country. It got the same
recognition in 2012 and 2013.
The Gawad Parangal award recognizes
cooperatives, local government units, partner organizations and cooperative
leaders in recognition of exemplary performance, best practices and good
governance and in bringing responsive services to the people and to the
community.
